How did you become involved with the chILD Foundation?
My daughter Alida was diagnosed with NEHI at around eight months old. After finding out how rare her disease was my wife and I searched for whatever information we could find and came across the chILD foundation. We attended our first conference in 2012 and it was truly a life-changing event for us. I joined the Board of Directors as a way to give back and ultimately to do whatever is in my power to find a cure. Everyday Alida has to wear oxygen is a day that I am reminded I need to do more.
What is your role on the board of directors?
