Wayne I. Danson is President and Chief Executive Officer of Danson Partners, LLC, a financial advisory and business consulting firm, specializing in finance, mergers and acquisitions business strategy, interim CEO/CFO and turnaround consulting as well as sophisticated tax services which he founded in 1999. From 2004-2010, Wayne was President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Encompass Group Affiliates, Inc. a publicly traded logistics organization that he founded and steered from a small start-up company to an industry leader with sales in excess of $100 million and one of the largest parts and service providers in the consumer electronics segment of the reverse logistics industry.
Prior to forming and developing Encompass, Wayne held partnership and leadership positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Kenneth Leventhal & Co., now Ernst & Young where he was a Managing Tax Partner.
Wayne was a regional finalist in the 2009 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Program and was appointed a national judge in the Distribution and Manufacturing category in the 2010 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Program.
In 2011, Wayne co-founded JDAP Capital Advisors, LLC a private investment management firm with a strategic focus on the U.S. equity options market. Besides investment management services through the JDAP Capital Investment Fund, JDAP Capital Advisors, LLC also provides trusted and experienced wealth management and investment advice to high net worth individuals, family offices, retirement plans and fund of funds.
Wayne graduated with honors from Bernard M. Baruch College with a BBA in Accounting and was a MBA candidate in Taxation. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, Reverse Logistics Association, Board of Veteran CEO’s and was a former member of the European-American Tax Institute and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Wayne has published numerous articles, lectured and taught classes on such topics as international taxation, workouts and restructurings and mergers and acquisitions.
Wayne previously served as Chairman of the Board of Encompass Group Affiliates, Inc and a director of Herborium Group, Inc, both publicly traded small cap companies.
Wayne and his wife Jill are the primary care givers for their granddaughter Emma who was born with Surfactant Protein ABCA3 deficiency. Wayne learned of the Foundation in the spring of 2014 after Emma’s birth and after attending the Boston family medical conference in August 2015 was determined to be more active and involved with Foundation affairs. Wayne is dedicated to working towards a more robust national organization with significant fundraising opportunities to allow the Foundation to provide meaningful grants to various scientists and organizations dedicated to finding cures for the different forms of childhood interstitial and diffuse lung disease. He is committed to helping those families cope with the medical and family social issues of caring for a chILD patient based on his and his wife’s personal experiences.
