Board of Directors

Gregory R. Porta, Founder and Board Member

Greg is one of the founders of the chILD Foundation and served as its first chairman. He remains active on the board and also serves on the American Thoracic Society Public Advisory Roundtable, where is the advocacy chair for the chILD Foundation.

Greg and his wife helped start the chILD Foundation to seek answers and hope for their son, Alexander “Alex” Porta, who was diagnosed with ABCA3. Alex passed away just a few months before his 8th birthday. Greg continues his work as a tribute to Alex’s memory, hoping to make a difference in the lives of other families struggling with chILD disorders.
